Position Summary:

The Clinical Director provides strategic and operational leadership for all clinical services, ensuring quality, compliance, and effectiveness in the delivery of care. This role is responsible for supervising clinical personnel, guiding program development, maintaining regulatory standards, and supporting staff development to enhance client outcomes and organizational growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve clinical workflows, operational processes, and business strategies that support efficient, client-centered care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and support staff to address client care needs, operational priorities, and resource allocation.
• Monitor and analyze key clinical and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and maintain high standards of care.
• Oversee compliance with applicable federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, policies, and standards.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, supervise, coach, and develop employees while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, families, and community stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and collaborating with care teams to address concerns and support continuity of care.
• Ensure medical records and documentation practices comply with applicable state and federal requirements, including RI BHDDH and CARF standards.
• Participate in strategic planning, monitor financial performance, allocate resources effectively, and review and approve payroll.

Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted professional licensure through the Rhode Island Department of Health (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT).
