Construction Maintenance Technician

Overview We’re searching for a versatile and reliable Construction Maintenance Technician to assist with a variety of tasks, including light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work. This role is ideal for a capable individual who can manage small home projects—from basic electrical and plumbing tasks to light carpentry and installation work—within Element Design Build Remodel. Element Design Build Remodel is a boutique firm specializing in high-end home remodeling in Northeast Ohio, offering comprehensive services from design to construction under one roof. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems. Handle basic electrical tasks, such as replacing light fixtures, switches, and outlets. Complete light carpentry work, including repairing or installing shelving, trim, and small wooden structures. Assist with countertop installation, including preparation, moving materials, and setting the countertop in place. Conduct general maintenance and repairs as needed, and perform other duties as assigned. Maintain a safe and clean work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are used properly. Install new light fixtures and outlets. Install cabinets and perform trim work. Assist with countertop installation. Other general maintenance and repairs, and performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications Proven experience in a similar maintenance or trades-related role. General knowledge of light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry techniques. Experience with or willingness to learn countertop installation procedures. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.
