Payroll SpecialistThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for maintaining and reviewing payroll data for multiple companies, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.Essential Duties & Responsibilities-PayrollFollow up with managers to ensure timecard approvals are completedEnsure accuracy of multi-state, multi-company payroll dataInvestigate and resolve any discrepancies in payrollAnswering employee questionsConduct/assist in training employees in using the timekeeping and payroll applicationsMaintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and proceduresInitiate off-cycle/manual payments timelyUpload garnishment documents to payroll portalPreparing reports for management reviewMonitor quarterly and annual tax filingsAssist with payroll projects as neededEducation & Experience3+ year payroll experienceProficient with Microsoft Office or related softwareADP experience a plusKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong organizational, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to work with a diverse group of individualsExcellent time management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to multi-taskAttention to detailStrong problem-solving skills and analytical skillsPhysical RequirementsLifting up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers, and files.
