Position Description

Job Summary

Park Construction is seeking a Payroll Administrator to provide processing, administrative, systems, and coordination support across Payroll Functions. This role is critical to maintaining union fringe & benefit compliance, employee compensation practices, payroll tax reporting, and Wage & Labor compliance accurately and professionally throughout the organization. This is a hybrid position based in Minneapolis that supports both field and office teams through strong systems, communication, and execution. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with union payroll, certified payroll, prevailing wage reporting, or multi-state construction payroll.

Key Responsibilities

Employee HR portal:

• Transfer new hires in employee portal to Viewpoint to be paid
• Process employee change requests submitted through the employee portal in Viewpoint
• Cross-trained/assist with Employee Onboarding duties as needed

HCSS Heavy Job:

• Retrieve and monitor daily electronic submissions of field labor and equipment
• Help supervisory field personnel with issues or questions regarding imported data including training on how to report time and corrections if needed
• Compile and review time submitted from field for weekly export into payroll system for processing
• Export time records to be imported to Viewpoint
• Run various payroll job reports as requested

Payroll Processing:

• Company liaison for payroll inquiries
• Maintain employee records in Viewpoint
• Import hours from heavy job export, review, and post
• Prepare weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for Park Construction Company and Park Avenue Trucking
• Generate payroll payments to employees and distribute corresponding reports
• Track weekly per diem for processing payments to employees
• Track and remit wage garnishments, 401K withholding, and miscellaneous payroll deductions
• Track and maintain MN ESST and Vacation Accruals
• Prevailing Wage, Certified Payroll, and Union reporting
• Assist with Union and Payroll related audits

Position Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Vista Viewpoint, HCSS Heavy Job, or HRIS reporting tools is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively with field employees, supervisors, and leadership
• Prior experience in administrative, payroll, or accounting operations preferred
• Construction or industrial environment experience is a plus, but not required
• Job-Costing experience preferred
• Union & Certified Payroll experience preferred
• Multi-State payroll experience preferred
