A relevant master's degree may be substituted for two years of experience. location: ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico job type: Permanent salary: $140,000 - 160,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities:Advanced Structural Analysis: Conducted comprehensive static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue assessments to guarantee spacecraft component integrity and performance.Mechanical Systems Leadership: Led the end-to-end design and integration of mechanical subsystems, ensuring seamless compatibility with broader mission requirements.Requirements & Validation: Translated complex mission needs into engineering specs, validating designs through a rigorous combination of analysis and physical testing.Material & Test Oversight: Optimized material selection for weight and durability while managing critical environmental testing, including vibration, shock, and thermal cycles.Documentation & Mentorship: Authored high-level technical documentation (ICDs, reports) and provided strategic technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
