Travel RN - Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)
Location

Dickson, TN | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type

Provide labor and delivery nursing care including laboring, recovering the mother, and receiving and transitioning the newborn with full assessment
Manage patient ratios of 1:1 for active labors, inductions, and C-sections; couplet care 1:3; newborns 1:1 until stable; and NICU intermediate care 1:3
Assist with or support procedures including C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries
Operate unit equipment including central fetal monitoring (CPN), IV pumps, infant warmers, bili-blankets, PCA pumps, and tele-med robot for neonatology
Document accurately using Meditech and CPN systems
Charge experience required ; rotating weekends and holidays expected; floating within the facility may be required when census allows

Required Qualifications

Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience, including the ability to labor and recover the mother and transition the newborn
Charge nurse experience required
BLS certification required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
Fetal Monitoring training/certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience managing OB emergencies including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
Experience with inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil
Cross-training or experience in both LDRP and NICU settings
Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
