We serve communities in four counties, with a total of 9 outpatient clinics, and we are still growing, so join our company and grow with us!Job DescriptionThe Physical Therapist Assistant will work collaboratively with experienced physical therapists in providing comprehensive orthopedic care to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Key responsibilities include:Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and functional activities to improve strength, flexibility, and mobilityApply physical modalities including heat, cold therapy, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and other therapeutic treatments as directed by the supervising physical therapistDocument patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records to support clinical decision-makingAssist patients in managing pain and regaining mobility following injuries, surgeries, or other orthopedic conditionsMonitor and supervise the aquatic therapy program, including pool maintenance and patient safety protocolsPerform patient intake assessments, vital signs monitoring, and range of motion measurements under physical therapist supervisionEducate patients on proper body mechanics, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategiesMaintain a safe and clean treatment environment by adhering to infection control standards and equipment sterilization proceduresAssist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility aids to ensure patient safety and comfortCommunicate effectively with the supervising physical therapist regarding patient progress, concerns, and treatment modificationsSupport administrative functions including patient scheduling, equipment inventory management, and clinic organizationMaintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and clinic policiesQualificationsGraduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant ProgramNew or recent graduates are encouraged to applyCurrent state licensureCPR certificationAbility to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environmentBasic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, database software, and MS OfficeAdditional InformationAt ProCare we believe in fostering a rewarding and supportive work environment.
