As our founding AI engineer, you'll be at the forefront of applying cutting-edge machine learning to solve one of humanity's most pressing challenges: the global mental health crisis.
Location: Soho, NYC (Hybrid)
We're Looking For
A world-class engineer with a track record of building innovative AI systems. You've likely published research, contributed to major open-source projects, or built impressive AI applications from the ground up.
Deep expertise in large language models, retrieval systems, and applied AI. You can architect AI systems and have strong opinions on the best approaches for different use cases.
A product mindset that complements your technical skills. You can translate consumer behavior into AI-driven features that users love.
The ability to move at warp speed. We conceive and ship new features daily, and we need someone who thrives in this environment of rapid experimentation and iteration.
A passionate belief in AI's potential to transform mental health. You're driven by the challenge of making emotional and spiritual growth as engaging and effective as learning a new language on Duolingo.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement our core AI systems, focusing on personalized, context-aware interactions that drive user engagement and well-being.
Create scalable, efficient systems for real-time AI inference and continuous learning from user interactions.
Expertise in Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and cloud-based ML infrastructure (preferably AWS).
Experience with real-time, low-latency AI systems and optimizing models for mobile deployment.
Bonuses
You've previously built a consumer product, or worked at a top consumer company before.
Background in psychology, neuroscience, or contemplative practices that inform your approach to AI for mental wellness.
