Oracle Banking Platform (OCBS) Consultant
Our client, a financial services organization, is seeking an experienced Oracle Banking Platform (OCBS) Consultant to support an audit and assessment initiative related to their core banking environment. The platform was formerly known as Flexcube and is now part of Oracle Banking (OCBS – Oracle Banking Corporate/Branch Banking platform). The consultant will evaluate platform controls, configurations, integrations, and operational governance to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a comprehensive audit and assessment of the Oracle Banking (OCBS/Flexcube) platform
- Review system architecture, configurations, integrations, and data flows
- Evaluate security controls, access management, and role-based permissions
- Assess change management, patching, and release governance processes
- Review regulatory compliance alignment and operational risk controls
- Identify gaps, risks, and control weaknesses within the platform
- Provide remediation recommendations and risk mitigation strategies
- Document findings and present audit results to senior stakeholders
- Collaborate with technology, operations, risk, and compliance teams
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with Oracle Banking / OCBS / Flexcube
- Strong understanding of core banking systems and architecture
- Experience auditing or assessing enterprise banking platforms
- Knowledge of system controls, risk management, and governance frameworks
- Experience reviewing user access controls, entitlements, and segregation of duties
- Strong documentation and executive presentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in IT Audit, Risk, or Internal Audit
- Experience with regulatory environments (OCC, FDIC, SOX, etc.)
- Knowledge of information security controls (IAM, encryption, logging)
- Experience supporting banking transformation or platform modernization initiatives
