Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to thoroughly evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, ensuring all necessary information is gathered for effective treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment data, incorporating evidence-based practices to foster positive client outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality individual counseling, group therapy sessions, and family therapy as required, drawing on various therapeutic modalities to meet client needs.
• Maintain detailed and timely clinical documentation of all therapeutic interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary treatment team, sharing insights and contributing to case discussions to promote comprehensive care.
• Participate in regular case reviews and treatment planning meetings to refine approaches and optimize care strategies for each client.
• Provide crisis intervention services promptly when clients are in acute need, employing de-escalation techniques and safety planning as appropriate.
• Stay informed on current trends and advancements in mental health and substance use disorder treatment to enhance professional knowledge and service delivery continuously.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York is essential for application.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience providing effective mental health and substance abuse treatment services, preferably in a telehealth setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $75,000–$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
