Travel OR Registered Nurse | Bloomfield, New Mexico

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract position
• Schedule may include days, evenings, or rotating shifts, with opportunity for overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent operating room nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Proven knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and safety protocols
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
• Experience with surgical instrumentation and aseptic technique

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and verify surgical consent
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Assist the surgical team with procedures, ensuring sterile field integrity at all times
• Monitor patient condition and vital signs, responding promptly to any changes
• Accurately document patient care, medications, and interventions
• Uphold infection control policies and maintain a clean, organized OR environment
• Communicate proactively with physicians, surgical staff, and patient families
