WHAT YOU WILL DO

Set the standard and example for safe behaviors and compliance and influence others to do the same. Communicate and provide subject matter expert support to other stakeholders on job sites, including customers, general and other contractors, union representatives, and regulatory personnel. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all inspections and incident investigations, including collaborating with the Risk Manager for workers’ compensation and other claims. Maintain a summary of all audits, inspections, and other action items; and ensure their timely and sustainable completion. Ensure compliance with all State Group, governmental, and legal requirements (including OSHA, EPA, ISO). Lead urgent response to workers’ safety concerns. Communicate any potential or non-compliant issues to the leadership team promptly. Stop unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately, and promptly counsel individuals or tag out equipment to eliminate unsafe conditions. Additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM

5+ years of construction safety experience with a strong understanding of applicable safety regulations and policies. A degree in Safety or a related field and a CSP certification are preferred. Experience in construction or union environments with fluctuating project volumes is preferred. Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment. OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Card. Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, confined space activities, hot work, excavations, and other key safety protocols. Ability to demonstrate the organization's core values through professional conduct and leadership. Ability to effectively train and communicate safety requirements and protocols.
