By fostering a culture of growth, transparency, and collaboration, we create an environment where everyone can flourish and contribute meaningfully to our shared goals.Brief Position SummaryThe role of Staff Accountant will prepare monthly reconciliations, prepare journal entries, complete month end close responsibilities, and assist with Balance Sheet and PL analysis for multiple entities.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for moderately complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements.Prepares monthly journal entries for Inventory-related activity and reconciles workpapers and general ledger accountsParticipates in month end close, posts journal entries, analyzes actual to budget variances, performs moderately complex account analysis and bank reconciliations.Performs certain treasury functions and reconciliationsInteract with and assist other department managers.Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of sensitive electronic and physical records in case of audits.Obtain data from a variety of sources and aggregate, analyze and report on such data as needed.Works with various groups and functions to facilitate continuous process improvementAssists in implementing appropriate accounting practices and internal controlsFosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required*INDICATES ESSENTIAL DUTIESTo perform this job successfully an associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting is required.CPA and/or public accounting experience is a plus.SkillsExcellent time management skills are required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.Proficiency in computer spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software is required.Knowledge of SAP, OneStream is a plus.Other RequirementsA valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 15% of the time are required.Compensation starting at $58,000 - $72,050 depending on candidate location and experience.The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
