Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Olympia, WA | Short Term Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Progressive Care Unit managing diagnoses including CHF, sepsis, cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain, and syncope
• Perform and monitor cardiac drips, temporary pacemaker management, cardioversion, sheath pulls, and groin site management
• Care for patients undergoing or recovering from TAVR procedures and other complex cardiac and medical conditions
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to like units within scope of practice as needed
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, or Telemetry nursing
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with cardiac drip management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Prior experience in a short-term acute care hospital setting
