Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Float across units to fill staffing needs, supporting a diverse patient population that may include ER-boarded patients, telemetry, and med/surg patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on unit acuity
• Assume charge nurse duties as needed on smaller units, including managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general unit coordination
• Document and chart using EPIC
• May be expected to float to nearby sister facilities as required by the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the United States (U.S.-based experience is required; Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
• Charge nurse experience is required
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and higher-acuity patient populations
• Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
