Social Worker Clinical (NS)

Salary Pay Range: $50,633 - $88,607

The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws.

Work involves applying theory in the diagnosis and treatment of mental and emotional disorders, providing individual and group counseling to offenders and serving as a liaison between correctional staff and offenders. The Clinical Social Worker will provide direct psychological services to offenders with a range of emotional and behavioral issues, including those with severe and persistent mental illness and personality disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated experience with case and group work
• Documented knowledge and/or experience dealing with behavior and psychosocial problems and their diagnosis and treatment
• Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of community resources in clinical social work
