Job Title: Clinical Research Associate (Contract-to-Hire) Pay Rate: $40–$50/hour Duration: 6-Month Contract with Strong Potential for Full-Time Conversion Location: San Diego, CA (Primarily Remote | Must Reside in the San Diego Area for Occasional Onsite Visits) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to join a growing clinical research team supporting multiple upcoming clinical studies. This is an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity for a motivated professional looking to contribute to impactful research while building a long-term career. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on clinical research experience, strong knowledge of clinical trial operations, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Support the planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and closeout of clinical studies. Coordinate day‑to‑day study activities with internal teams, clinical sites, vendors, and research partners. Assist with study start‑up documentation and regulatory submissions. Train and support research sites on study protocols and procedures. Monitor Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, including data review, query management, and reconciliation. Maintain study documentation, Trial Master Files (TMF), study trackers, reports, dashboards, and enrollment metrics. Ensure protocol compliance, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory requirements are met. Support participant recruitment, scheduling, documentation, and study follow‑up activities. Assist with audit and inspection readiness.Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure successful study execution from initiation through completion. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of Clinical Research experience as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) or Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC). Experience supporting clinical studies from start‑up through closeout. Hands‑on experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems. Knowledge of clinical trial documentation, Trial Master Files (TMF), informed consent, protocol deviations, adverse event documentation, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively. Preferred Qualifications CRA certification (CCRA, CCRP, or CCRC). Current GCP certification. Medical device clinical research experience. Experience in Sleep Medicine, Respiratory Therapy, Sleep Labs, or Polysomnography (PSG). Experience interacting directly with research participants and clinical sites. Work Arrangement Primarily remote. Must reside in the San Diego, CA area. Occasional onsite attendance required. Up to 30% travel to clinical research sites may be required.
