Job Title: SME/Facilitator - Film/TV Production

Job Overview

The SME/Facilitator will be responsible for the development and facilitation of courses in Film & TV Production at the college level. This position will require the individual to develop and deliver course content, assess learner performance, and provide feedback to learners. The SME/Facilitator will also be expected to participate in departmental meetings and activities up to 3 times per month as part of their duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver course content in Film & TV Production at the college level
• Assess student performance and provide feedback to learners
• Participate in departmental meetings and activities up to 3 times per month
• Stay current with developments in screenwriting and incorporate new information into course content as appropriate
• Provide support and guidance to students as needed

Qualifications

• MFA or similar Master's level degree or higher in Film, Television, or a related field
• Previous teaching experience at the college level preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Working Conditions

The SME/Facilitator will work in a remote setting which is free from distractions. This position may require being stationary for extended periods of time as well as potential eye strain from extended periods of computer activity.

Physical Requirements

The SME/Facilitator must be able to sit for extended periods of time and may be required to lift and move equipment or materials as needed.

Compensation

SME/Facilitators are compensated at 75% per credit hour per student.

Ex. UG courses are billed at $250/credit hour which equals $750 for the course. The Instructor would be compensated at a rate of $562.50 per enrolled student, per term. Fees are payable in two (2) installments: 1st, after successful completion/submission of midterm grades and 2nd, after successful completion/submission of final grades.
