The Cyber Defense & Resilience team works with clients to design, implement, and operate programs that help protect critical assets, support digital transformation, and respond to evolving threats. Within this practice, forward deployed engineers partner with client teams to accelerate patching, improve remediation governance, and reduce exposure across distributed enterprise environments.QualificationsRequired:5+ years of experience in information technology, information security, vulnerability management, patch management, or a combination of these4+ years of experience leading remediation execution, patch coordination, or forward deployed engineering activities in enterprise environments4+ years of experience executing or overseeing patching across Windows, Linux, middleware, endpoints, or applications using tools such as BigFix, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Red Hat Satellite, Windows Server Update Services, Tenable, Rapid7, or Qualys2+ years of experience using PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or JavaScript Object Notation for scripting, automation, or configuration activities2+ years of experience using ServiceNow or another Information Technology Service Management platform to manage remediation workflows, exceptions, metrics, and status reportingFamiliarity with AI and Frontier AI risk considerations, including AI-related threat vectors (e.g., prompt injection, data poisoning, model supply chain risk) and their implications for exposure management programsExperience using AI tools to triage, prioritize, create scripts, or integrations with other cybersecurity toolsHold vendor-specific credential or proof of training completion (e.g., Qualys Certified Specialist, Tenable Vulnerability Management Expert, Rapid7 InsightIDR Certified Specialist, Wiz Defend Fundamentals)Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.Preferred:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or PhysicsExperience in a consulting environmentExperience creating or developing AI agentsExperience presenting remediation status, risk updates, or delivery progress to client stakeholdersExperience with vulnerability prioritization based on exploitability, asset criticality, or attack path dataExperience with the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework, Center for Internet Security, International Organization for Standardization 27001, or Cloud Security Alliance Cloud Controls Matrix, or similar standards and frameworksRelevant certification such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CISSP, etc.Familiarity with how statements of work (SOWs) or requests for proposal (RFPs) are structured and used in a consulting or managed services engagementThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
