WelderThe welder sets up and operates welding equipment, reviews drawings, and leads welders to ensure quality production standards are met.Key responsibilities not limited to:Weld ferrous and non-ferrous materials (MIG/TIG/Stick)Set up jobs, tools, and materials; fabricate jigs/fixtures as neededLead and train welders on quality and production methodsRead and interpret blueprints and specificationsWork independently to complete assignments and meet schedulesPerform inspections and quality checksCommunicate job status and support needs to the Shop ForemanSkills and qualifications:Basic math and strong attention to detailKnowledge of safety standardsWillingness to be cross-trainedStrong organization and communication skillsAble to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or pull up to 40lbs unassistedWorks in a typical production environment; must be flexible to work additional hours as neededHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience2–3 years of welding experience in a machine shop (preferred)1 year of supervisory or lead experienceBilingual in Spanish is a plusNJ Union Benefits:Medical, dental and vision insuranceLife insurancePensionPaid time off12 company-paid holidaysA solid wellness program to support your personal health goalsDevelopment opportunitiesJoin our team and build a rewarding career where your contributions are valued and your growth is supported.
