Program Assistant

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. You willbe responsible for maintaining the integrity, philosophy, and standards of our effective rehabilitation program. This role is crucial in ensuring program compliance while supporting our beneficiaries' recovery journey. What You’ll Do Program Management Enforce house rules and maintain overall centersecurity Conduct new beneficiary orientations including facilitytours Lead weekly housemeetings Supervise medication calls and ensure properdocumentation Respond to beneficiary inquiries andemergencies Complete incident reports and SafeFromHarm documentation Beneficiary Support Implement and coordinate leisure timeactivities Provide safe transportation whenneeded Assist in resolving beneficiaryproblems Train and supervise work therapyassignments Assess and refer spiritual needs to Chaplain/Administrator Administer drug and alcohol screening tests asrequired Administrative Duties Maintain daily reports and electronic dataentries Document program violations and incidents Support center policies and procedures Monitor and ensure programcompliance Why Join Us Mission-driven work that supports programs in your community On-the-job training Team-oriented environment Employee Discount, Employee Assistance Program, and more! Additional Information Required Education & Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous managerial experiencepreferred Valid Driver's License with ability to qualify for Salvation Armyinsurance Skills & Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to interpret technicalinstructions Basic mathematical and reporting abilities Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Physical Requirements Manual dexterity for computer work Ability to lift/move up to 20pounds Clear speaking, hearing, and vision abilities Residential institutional setting Quiet to moderate noise level Some warehouse/store exposure The Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
