Overview
Registered Nurse – Stepdown position in Boston, Massachusetts. This travel assignment begins on 11/02/2026 and runs for 13 weeks in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,743 to $2,829, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The shift is 12 hours, nights (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with weekend and holiday coverage as needed. The unit supports postoperative patients requiring intermediate care and includes cardiothoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, trauma, and transplant services.

Responsibilities
- Deliver stepdown-level care for postoperative patients transferred from PACU/SICU, including cardiothoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, trauma, and transplant residents
- Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythm strips, and respond to arrhythmias per unit protocol
- Administer medications, including use of automated dispensing systems, and document accurately
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans; ensure smooth handoffs with colleagues
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and comfort, while managing a unit with approximately 38 beds and typical ratios around 1:3 to 1:4-5

Requirements
- 2+ years of recent acute care experience
- Surgical stepdown experience at a Level 1 trauma center; IMCU/Stepdown experience required
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- ACLS certification
- Auto med dispensing experience
- More than one prior travel assignment
