Database Engineer Required Skills
- 5+ years of Cloud Spanner schema design and migration experience.
- 5+ years of CDC and bi-directional database replication experience.
- 5+ years of Apache Beam / Google Cloud Dataflow / ETL experience.
- Experience migrating Informix databases to Cloud Spanner .
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Spanner schema design, including interleaved tables .
- Experience with Cloud Spanner Data Boost for reporting and analytics.
- Experience designing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Experience with multi-region Cloud Spanner environments.
- Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, monitoring, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
- Experience supporting production Day-2 operations .
- Migrate Informix database schemas to Cloud Spanner.
- Design and optimize Cloud Spanner databases.
- Implement CDC and bi-directional replication.
- Build batch and streaming ETL pipelines using Dataflow and Apache Beam .
- Use Spanner Data Boost for analytical/reporting workloads.
- Design HA/DR, failover, and failback solutions.
- Monitor and optimize database performance and costs.
- Support production operations and troubleshoot database issues.
