Position Summary:

The Operations Manager at Lindenmeyr Munroe plays a key leadership role in overseeing day-to-day operations across customer service, warehouse, and office functions (excluding sales). This individual is responsible for motivating teams, ensuring operational processes are followed, optimizing resources, and driving continuous improvement to support efficiency, profitability, and compliance.

This role serves as the central liaison between local facility operations and corporate departments, including HR, Safety, Procurement, Inventory, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

• Directly oversee customer service representatives, warehouse staff, and office personnel.
\n
• Motivate and lead teams by promoting a positive work culture and ensuring accountability.
\n
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training in partnership with HR.
\n
• Provide ongoing support, coaching, and development for employees.
\n
• Serve as a liaison between staff and upper management to ensure alignment and clear communication.
\n

Facility & Safety Oversight

\n
• Maintain the facility to meet corporate standards, coordinating vendor services as needed.
\n
• Lead the local implementation of the Corporate Safety Program in collaboration with Safety Leaders.
\n
• Promote and support corporate wellness initiatives within the facility.
\n

Inventory & Procurement

\n
• Coordinate with Corporate Inventory Managers to monitor inventory levels and turns.
\n
• Develop strategies to reduce aging inventory and improve turnover.
\n
• Oversee the Procurement team to ensure timely and accurate inbound inventory activities.
\n
• Lead the coordination and execution of annual physical inventory.
\n

Customer Order Management

\n
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Customer Service team.
\n
• Oversee the end-to-end order process, ensuring accuracy, timely billing, and effective issue resolution (shortages, credits, returns).
\n
• Work with warehouse and drivers to optimize delivery efficiency and route planning.
\n
• Maintain and manage customer rebates.
\n

Finance & Accounts Payable

\n
• Supervise the Accounts Payable function to ensure timely billing and supplier payments.
\n
• Monitor RNV reports and maintain standards to achieve supplier discounts.
\n
• Analyze departmental budgets and recommend cost-saving strategies.
\n

Technology & Reporting

\n
• Utilize BI tools (e.g., Phocas) to monitor key metrics, analyze data, and drive decision-making.
\n
• Identify and correct ERP system errors; ensure data accuracy and operational continuity.
\n
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
\n

HR & Payroll Coordination

\n
• Oversee onboarding and orientation for new hires.
\n
• Monitor and approve timecards, PTO requests, and other payroll-related activities.
\n
• Ensure adherence to company policies and HR procedures.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in distribution or logistics.
\n
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
\n
• Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and process improvement.
\n
• Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management best practices.
\n
• Experience working with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
\n
• Ability to analyze and act on operational and financial data.
\n
