Utilizing basic equipment typically found on an ambulance, you will perform life-saving interventions that serve as a vital link between the scene of an emergency and the wider health care system.This position promises not only a rewarding career but also the opportunity to impact lives in your community every day.Are you the EMT - Any Level (Basic, Advanced, Intermediate, Paramedic) we're looking for?To excel as a Full-Time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Southwest Health System, Inc. in Cortez, Colorado, candidates must possess a robust set of skills and certifications.Knowledge and skills required for the position are:Regulatory/Educational Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent.Current Emergency Medical Technician Certification within state of Colorado.Current BLS certification.Must obtain certifications in IS-100.b or IS-100.HCb (Introduction to the Incident Command System)IS-200.b or IS-200.HCa (Applying Incident Command System (ICS) to Healthcare Organizations)IS-700.a (National Incident Management System)IS-800.b (National Response Framework an Introduction).EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operators Course) within six months of employment.PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) and EPC (Emergency Pediatric Care) certification is preferred but not required.Haz-Mat Awareness is preferred but not required.Valid motor vehicle operator's license with continued clear driving record required.Language Skills:Able to communicate effectively in Englishboth verbally and in writing.Additional languages preferred.Skills:Basic computer knowledge.Strong communication skills.Excellent customer service skills.Are you ready for an exciting opportunity?If this sounds like the right job for you, don't wait - apply today to join our team.
