Staff Accountant

Extension is seeking a Staff Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Brown Deer, WI. About Our Client Established manufacturing organization with decades of industry experience Collaborative, team-oriented environment Opportunity to work across general accounting, financial reporting, AR, and manufacturing/cost accounting Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Strong focus on continuous improvement, professional development, and long-term growth Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies Review general ledger activity and assist with financial reporting and analysis Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash-related accounting activities Assist with customer billing, account reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies Support inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing cost activities Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances Prepare financial reports, project/management analysis, and ad hoc reporting Assist with audits, internal controls, and tax/compliance-related activities Identify and implement process improvements across accounting and finance Partner with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and reporting Provide backup support across various accounting functions as needed Desired Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions Experience working with an ERP/accounting system Salary Information $60k - $80k/year We’re looking forward to connecting with you and are excited to help you make your next career move! #J-18808-Ljbffr
