Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery to join our team. This position requires proficiency in a variety of tasks and flexibility in shifting medical environments. The role includes both direct patient care and support for birthing processes, ensuring a safe and positive experience for mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

Perform triage and assess patients' conditions effectively.
Provide couplet care for mothers and their infants during the postpartum period.
Circulate operating room cases as needed.
Assist in baby admits and participate in delivery when necessary.
Float to similar units or regional locations when required.
Adhere to department guidelines regarding weekend, holiday, and call responsibilities.

Qualifications

A minimum of 24 months of Labor & Delivery experience with recent performance within the last year.
Current life support certifications, including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AFM from an approved vendor.
No active issues on state license to practice.
Ability to provide required documentation for residency verification.
Travel experience is highly preferred.

Additional Information

Candidates must be prepared to begin employment on the listed start date or within one week thereafter. Requests for time off should not exceed seven days and must not occur during the first week of assignment. Candidates are encouraged to be flexible regarding locations, shifts, and departments to expedite the hiring process.
