Job Description Lycée International de Houston is seeking a passionate and qualified English Language Arts Teacher for Middle and High School levels, specializing in IB (International Baccalaureate) and/or AP (Advanced Placement) courses for the 2026-2027 School Year. The ideal candidate will have expertise in English instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) curriculum, as well as the ability to prepare students for the rigor of IB and AP exams. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, or a related field Minimum five years of middle or high school English teaching experience Experience teaching IB English (SL/HL) and/or AP English (Language and/or Literature) Strong knowledge of TEKS ELAR standards ESL certification or experience working with EAL students (preferred) Experience in an independent, private, or college‑preparatory school setting Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Proficiency integrating instructional technology (e.g., Google Classroom, digital learning tools) Collaborative, adaptable, and positive approach within a multicultural environment Legal authorization to work in the United States The Role at Lycée International de Houston The English Teacher is responsible for delivering rigorous, engaging instruction that prepares students for academic success in IB and AP programs while fostering a lifelong appreciation for literature and critical thinking.
