Mammal Care Specialist (Part-Time)

Join a mission-driven team dedicated to connecting communities with wildlife and wild places. As a Mammal Care Specialist (MCS), you'll play a vital role in ensuring the health, wellbeing, and safety of the animal population while helping create meaningful guest experiences.

What You'll Do

• Provide daily animal care: feeding, cleaning, enrichment, training, and habitat maintenance
• Monitor and document animal health and behavior
• Maintain safe, clean, and engaging habitats
• Support veterinary procedures, animal introductions, and population management
• Engage guests through educational interactions and presentations
• Uphold the highest standards of safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare

• Experience working with wildlife in a professional care setting
• Strong observation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Commitment to safety, conservation, and inclusive workplace culture
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied schedules

Growth & Development

Full-time team members are eligible for our Animal Care Specialist Development Program, offering merit-based advancement with increased responsibility and pay.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (degree in a related field preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in all weather conditions
