Job Title: Clinical Coordinator / Pharmacy Technician

Location: Glendale, California (Onsite Position — Not Remote)

Summary:
Our company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clinical Coordinator / Pharmacy Technician to support our clinical team in ensuring efficient and compliant authorization processes. This individual will play a key role in facilitating medical reviews, coordinating case documentation, and collaborating with physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare providers to optimize patient care.

Important Note:
This is not a remote position . The Clinical Coordinator / Pharmacy Technician will work onsite in our Glendale, California office .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process and track prior authorization requests, ensuring timely review and resolution.

• Review submitted clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy.

• Coordinate with medical directors, pharmacists, and nurses to facilitate case reviews.

• Communicate authorization decisions to providers and members.

• Maintain compliance with health plan guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

• Enter and update case information in Care Management databases and EMR systems.

• Assist in auditing and reporting Care Management activities for performance improvement.

• Provide support for appeals and peer-to-peer review processes.

• Calculate billable units to ensure accurate medication billing.

• Conduct monthly audits of review data to identify and correct discrepancies.

• Triage review cases to the appropriate medical panelists or pharmacists for efficient decision-making.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare-related coordination experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Valid Pharmacy Technician license required.

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required.

• Oncology experience preferred.

• Proven ability to work independently and manage assignments through completion.

• Strong analytical ability for data gathering, report generation, and issue resolution.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Skills and Requirements:

• Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related software.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling patient medical information.
