Overview
Registered Nurse - Med Surg travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date: 08/24/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,805–$1,899 per week. Shift: 12-hour days, 3x12s. This hospital setting requires flexibility to float to medical and surgical care areas, with cardiovascular coverage possible on rare occasions.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to adult patients on medical-surgical units, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders, monitor patient responses, and document findings in the EMR.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort; respond to changes in condition; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to adjust plans of care.
- Float to medical and surgical units; cardiovascular coverage may be required on rare occasions.
- Utilize available unit equipment and systems (Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes) and help ensure equipment is ready and properly maintained.

Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license by start date; travelers not in possession of a Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of offer and obtain licensure by start of assignment.
- BLS and ACLS required; preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC.
- 2–10 years of RN experience.
- Ability to float to medical and surgical units; occasional cardiovascular assignments.
- Availability for 12-hour day shifts; must be able to participate in required onboarding workflow, including arriving the Thursday before start for employee health.
