Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician - Hospital Environment

Vanguard Resources, Inc. (VRI) is hiring an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician (Level IV / Lead) to support hospital operations at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. This is a hands-on senior role for a skilled maintenance professional with experience in hospital, commercial, or facility operations who takes pride in safety, reliability, and keeping critical systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance throughout hospital facilities, troubleshooting issues involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems, responding to facility emergencies, repairs, and maintenance requests, performing minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair work, replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, and completing routine facility repairs, supporting building safety, cleanliness, and daily operations, assisting with training and mentoring junior technicians, and maintaining organized, safe, and compliant work areas.

What We're Looking For: 4+ years of facilities maintenance experience preferred, experience in hospital or commercial facilities maintenance is a plus, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, comfortable using work order systems, computers, and MS Office, self-starter with leadership mindset and team-oriented attitude, strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Requirements: Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record, must pass background check and drug screen, must complete required health screenings and vaccinations.

Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently walk, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, and work with tools/equipment, ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs occasionally, ability to work around mechanical systems and varying environmental conditions.
