Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced RFGen Technical Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in RFGen Version 6 upgrades, deployment, customization, integration, and production support . The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in RFGen, SQL Server/Oracle databases, ERP integrations, application servers, APIs/Web Services, barcode technologies, and mobility solutions.
The consultant will be responsible for supporting RFGen environments, performing upgrade and migration activities, troubleshooting integrations and backend issues, customizing RFGen workflows and forms, and ensuring successful production stabilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform RFGen Version 6 upgrade, migration, deployment, and technical support activities.
- Configure and maintain RFGen environments across development, testing, and production.
- Develop and troubleshoot SQL Server/Oracle queries, stored procedures, and database-related issues .
- Perform database and application performance tuning and backend troubleshooting .
- Develop and maintain RFGen scripts, workflows, forms, and customizations .
- Debug RFGen applications, scripts, interfaces, and workflow-related issues.
- Support integration between RFGen and ERP systems , particularly JD Edwards EnterpriseOne .
- Develop, troubleshoot, and support APIs and Web Services used for RFGen-to-ERP integrations.
- Work with REST/SOAP, XML, and JSON interfaces and troubleshoot connectivity and data exchange issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot RFGen services, IIS/application servers, middleware connectivity, and session management .
- Support barcode scanning functionality, label printing, Zebra printers , and RF scanner/device integrations.
- Perform RFGen package deployment, environment setup, migration, and production stabilization.
- Troubleshoot application, database, integration, and device-related production issues.
- Collaborate with technical teams, ERP teams, infrastructure teams, and business users to resolve RFGen-related issues.
- Participate in post-upgrade validation, performance tuning, defect resolution, and production stabilization activities.
- Document configurations, technical solutions, troubleshooting procedures, and deployment activities.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with RFGen Version 6 upgrade, deployment, migration, and technical support .
- Strong expertise in SQL Server and/or Oracle , including queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with RFGen scripting, workflow customization, form modifications, and debugging .
- Experience with RFGen services, IIS/application servers, middleware, and session management .
- Strong experience with API/Web Services integration between RFGen and ERP systems such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne .
- Knowledge of XML, JSON, REST, and SOAP services.
- Experience troubleshooting application interfaces and integration failures.
- Hands-on experience with barcode logic, label printing, Zebra printers, scanners, and RF devices .
- Experience with RFGen package deployment, migration, environment setup, and production stabilization .
- Knowledge of VBA, automation scripting, and data handling utilities is preferred.
