Electrical /Automation Engineer

Overview
A specialized engineering organization is seeking an Electrical / Automation Engineer to support the design, development, and commissioning of industrial control and automation systems. This role focuses on delivering custom engineered solutions for complex process environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Program PLCs and develop HMI/automation systems
• Design electrical control panels and system schematics
• Create and update P&IDs and instrumentation specifications
• Support equipment selection, vendor coordination, and procurement
• Ensure NEC compliance for industrial and hazardous environments
• Build, wire, commission, and troubleshoot control systems
• Support customer and contractor communication throughout projects

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical or Controls Engineering (or related field)
• 3+ years (10+ preferred) in automation, manufacturing, or process systems
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial controls
• Willingness to travel (~10%)
• Self-starter with strong technical problem-solving skills

Preferred: Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI, LabVIEW, AutoCAD, PE license
