Clydesdale Logistics LLC is a growing third-party logistics (3PL) company providing customized freight solutions across North America . We specialize in Full Truckload (FTL), Less-than-Truckload (LTL), drayage (imports and exports), flatbed, reefer, dry van, and other transportation services.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our Sarasota office.

This position will be primarily dedicated to supporting one of our key customer accounts , a high-volume account that is busy, fast-paced, and continuing to grow . As the account expands, this coordinator will play an important role in managing daily shipments, maintaining strong communication with the customer, and ensuring operations continue to run smoothly.

Because this account involves regular communication with Mandarin-speaking contacts, professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred, but not required .

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day operational needs of the account while building a strong relationship with the customer and supporting its continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary operational point of contact for an assigned high-volume and growing customer account
• Manage shipments from initial request through final delivery
• Coordinate FTL, LTL, drayage, flatbed, reefer, dry van, and other transportation services based on customer needs
• Coordinate import and export drayage shipments , including communication with warehouses, terminals, carriers, and other parties
• Communicate regularly with the customer regarding shipment requests, pricing, scheduling, tracking, and delivery status
• Communicate with Mandarin-speaking customer contacts and partners when applicable
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, warehouses, receivers, and internal team members
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments and confirm all shipment requirements
• Monitor active shipments closely and proactively provide updates
• Identify and resolve delays, missed appointments, accessorials, capacity issues, and other shipment exceptions
• Source carrier capacity and assist with carrier booking and rate negotiations
• Obtain freight rates and assist with customer pricing and quoting
• Enter and maintain accurate shipment information within the company’s TMS
• Review BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations, carrier documents, and other freight documentation
• Maintain detailed and accurate notes for every shipment
• Learn and follow the customer’s specific procedures, requirements, and expectations
• Help identify operational improvements as shipment volume increases
• Develop strong relationships with the customer, carriers, warehouses, and other partners
• Work closely with Clydesdale’s operations and sales teams to support account retention and continued growth

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment where priorities can change quickly . The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of an important customer account.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Mandarin Chinese proficiency highly preferred
• Previous experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, dispatching, supply chain, or a related field preferred
• Experience with drayage, imports/exports, FTL, or LTL is a plus
• Experience managing a high-volume customer account is a plus
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to manage multiple active shipments and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, carriers, and vendors
• Comfortable working with email, Microsoft Office, cloud-based systems, and transportation software
• TMS experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
• Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-moving environment
• A proactive mindset with the ability to identify potential problems before they become larger issues

Compensation

$23.00–$28.00 per hour , based on experience, qualifications, and assigned responsibilities.

Candidates who are professionally proficient in Mandarin Chinese and will regularly use those language skills as part of their assigned account responsibilities may qualify for additional bilingual compensation within the posted pay range.

Schedule & Location

This is a full-time, in-office position at Clydesdale Logistics LLC in Sarasota, Florida .

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM . Due to the nature of the transportation and logistics industry, additional availability may occasionally be required based on business demands, customer needs, shipment activity, or time-sensitive operational issues.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to become deeply involved in an important customer account and grow with the account as shipment volume and business needs continue to expand .
