About the Position Audiologist, Irwin ACH, Fort Riley, Kansas 66442 This position is located at the Irwin Army Community Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas. Perform patient assessments and evaluations. Identify and diagnose degree of communication disorders created by hearing loss and other potentially complicating factors. Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team which must coordinate with other professionals to ensure patients with multiple handicapping conditions receive coordinated care. Plan and implement aural habilitation/rehabilitation programs for adults and children. Manage the Hearing Program and the Hearing Readiness Support for the organization. Contribute to the training of support personnel. Provide counseling and supportive guidance to the patient, family, and significant others. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens. Basic Requirements: Graduate degree (or higher) with at least 18 semester hours in audiology, approved by CAA of ASHA. Must submit transcripts. Licensure: Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice audiology in a state, DC, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory. Must submit copy of license. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience evaluating audiology patients, implementing treatment plans, and educating or counseling on audiology.
