Purpose Summer Interns take on a wide variety of responsibilities ensuring a platform for growth and a deeper, hands‑on understanding of the world of construction. We offer internship roles in preconstruction as well as project management. Representative Tasks and Responsibilities Solicit subcontractor bids Perform quantity takeoffs Administer subcontracts Produce and manage the submittals process Track change orders Manage procurement log Work on close out packages Assist with schedule management Learn about and support the building permit process Produce meeting minutes Review RFI’s Assist with maintaining project document files and logs Assist with maintaining a current set of drawings Perform other projects and duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education College degree in progress in construction management, architecture, engineering, and/or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Ability to read plans and specs Effective written and communication skills Self‑starter, curious mind, hungry to learn Working knowledge of company software programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Procore (a plus) Ability to independently organize work assignments and meet critical deadlines Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the responsibilities of the job.
