Position Summary The Senior Manager, Claims Excellence operates under broad direction and provides strategic leadership for multiple claims teams, driving operational performance, service quality, customer experience, and continuous improvement across the organization. This leader partners with senior leadership to develop talent, optimize business processes, implement strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence. Success in this role is measured by the ability to elevate team performance, improve business outcomes, and deliver exceptional service to policyholders while developing the next generation of claims leaders. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop multiple claims teams through managers and supervisors. Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and customer excellence. Drive performance against key operational metrics including productivity, quality, cycle time, customer satisfaction, and financial results. Analyze operational trends and leverage data to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased organizational effectiveness. Partner with executive leadership to implement strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and service delivery. Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization, automation, digital transformation, and technology adoption. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, company policies, and industry best practices. Collaborate with business partners across underwriting, legal, compliance, finance, technology, and customer experience. Manage workforce planning, staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation to achieve operational objectives. Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing leaders while building a strong leadership pipeline. Foster an inclusive culture that encourages innovation, engagement, and professional growth. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or industry designations are a plus. 8+ years of progressive insurance claims experience. 5+ years of leadership experience managing managers, supervisors, or multiple operational teams. Demonstrated success leading high-volume claims operations within a property & casualty insurance environment. Strong understanding of operational metrics, claims processes, quality management, and customer experience. Proven ability to lead organizational change and deliver measurable business improvements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Experience utilizing claims platforms, reporting tools, and operational dashboards. Preferred Qualifications Leadership experience within a national or regional property & casualty insurance carrier. Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certifications. Experience leading digital transformation, automation, or AI-enabled operational initiatives. Executive-level reporting and strategic planning experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
