Embark on an impactful contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success in a school-based occupational therapy setting. This engaging assignment extends through late May 2027 and serves multiple schools in the greater Kansas City, Kansas area, providing services for a diverse caseload of approximately 50-60 students. You’ll enjoy the autonomy to design your own daily schedule, typically visiting 1-3 school sites a day, tailoring your approach to meet each student’s unique needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Kansas Occupational Therapy license (required)
• Previous experience as a school-based OT, or strong interest in pediatric practice
• Understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and travel between sites

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across elementary and specialty schools
• Conduct assessments and help establish individualized treatment plans within an educational setting
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state standards
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure students’ needs are met holistically
• Proactively manage your own scheduling and school visits, with flexibility to prioritize caseload demands
