Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy technician role is available at a community pharmacy located in Francesville, IN, supporting a remote retail setting with approximately 30 daily prescriptions. This contract position offers 24-30 hours per week, primarily Wednesday through Friday, within pharmacy hours of Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with no weekend work required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform order entry accurately using PioneerRx (preferred experience).
- Fill prescriptions and manage medication dispensing efficiently.
- Handle customer transactions with professionalism and care.
- Complete three days of training/orientation before starting.
- Potentially provide coverage at a sister facility once trained, supporting remote pharmacist verification.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Must hold an active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification.
- Prior retail pharmacy technician experience is essential.
- Familiarity with PioneerRx order entry system preferred.
- Experience with Eyecon Medication Counting Device is a plus.
- Ability to work independently within a small staff environment (2 technicians).
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
- Local candidates only to ensure easy training and facility access.
- Comfortable with business casual dress code.
Location: Francesville, Indiana, with potential occasional coverage at nearby sister pharmacy in Winamac, IN.
This contract opportunity is ongoing starting June 29th until permanent hires are made. It suits pharmacy technicians seeking a focused role in a community pharmacy environment with flexible midweek hours and no weekend obligations.
