Corporate Lawyer

A sophisticated New York boutique law firm is seeking a 4th- or 5th-year Corporate Associate with significant M&A experience gained at a U.S. law firm .
This is a transactional role for an attorney who has meaningful experience drafting and negotiating principal M&A documents , including purchase agreements and related transaction documents.
The practice includes M&A, financings, corporate governance, commercial agreements and strategic transactions across a diverse client base, including companies and investors in the cannabis industry.
Qualifications
- 4th- or 5th-year corporate associate
- J.D. from a U.S. law school
- New York Bar admission
- Current or recent U.S. law-firm corporate transactional experience
- Substantive M&A experience
- Hands-on drafting and negotiation of principal transaction documents
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Comfortable representing clients in the cannabis industry
Platform
- Approximately 1,500 billable hours
- Hybrid schedule – approximately 3 days/week in NYC
- Direct partner and client exposure
- Compensation: high-$100Ks to low-$200Ks, depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits
