Step into a pivotal support role in a vibrant educational setting where your skills as a Paraprofessional will make a difference every day. This onsite, contract position starts ASAP and will cover a leave, continuing likely through the end of the school year (6/4/2027). You'll be working near Murrieta, CA, helping to foster a positive and inclusive environment for approximately 80 students.
Depending on your specific background, your responsibilities will vary:
- If you are a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA): You will provide critical support across two elementary schools, working 7.5 hours per day (with an unpaid lunch), ensuring students receive excellent OT services tailored to their needs.
- If you are an Occupational Therapist (OT): You will deliver direct services to students and also supervise a COTA at one site, working 8 hours daily (with an unpaid lunch), maintaining high standards of care and support.
Key Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar school setting
- Valid certification/licensure as a COTA or OT (as applicable)
- Strong commitment to student learning and inclusion
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, students, and families
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs in a dynamic environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted support for students in classroom and/or therapeutic settings
- Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with staff while maintaining documentation and tracking progress
- Foster a nurturing and productive environment for diverse learners
