Job Description
The Extrusion Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of extrusion machinery across all shifts. This role involves setting up and monitoring extrusion equipment, maintaining high quality standards, and adhering strictly to safety protocols. Operators work independently as well as collaboratively under the guidance of a team leader and supervisor, with no travel required between locations.
Responsibilities
- Set up extrusion machines according to specifications
- Monitor extrusion processes to ensure consistent product quality
- Perform quality inspections and report deviations
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and cleaning
- Handle materials and prepare them for processing
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Accurately maintain records related to production and quality
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in machine operation
- Strong knowledge of quality control practices
- Commitment to safety compliance
- Mechanical aptitude to understand equipment functions
- Effective troubleshooting skills
