Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting early learners as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a vibrant integrated pre-school setting. In this engaging role, you'll work 1:1 with a preschool student who has autism and communication needs, demonstrating patience, creativity, and enthusiasm to meet their energetic and unique learning style.
You'll become an essential part of a collaborative classroom environment alongside a dedicated SPED teacher and two experienced paraprofessionals, supporting a small group of 8 children. Whether you're seeking full-time hours (9:15am-3:30pm) or a part-time morning schedule (9:00am-12:00pm), flexibility is available to match your lifestyle.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Experience supporting children with autism and communication needs preferred
- Ability to implement individualized behavior support plans
- Collaborative spirit for working seamlessly with teachers and support staff
- Genuine passion for early childhood education and behavioral intervention
- Foster a supportive, positive atmosphere as you provide 1:1 ABA-based interventions
- Assist with communication development and functional skills
- Monitor and document student progress, collaborating closely with classroom staff
- Employ engaging, play-based techniques to maintain attention and motivation
- Support the use of visual schedules, prompts, and positive reinforcement
- Structured but fun, team-focused classroom environment
