Wheless & Patton Dentistry is seeking a dynamic, organized, and energetic Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant team. - Experienced Dental Receptionist / Admin (1+ years)
- Open Dental
Experience: 1–2 years of administrative experience (Dental or Medical Receptionist preferred). Entry-level candidates with strong clinical training are welcome to apply.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and EMR systems (Athenahealth, Meditech, or Epic). Strong skills in Microsoft Office and data entry are essential.
Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of Dental Terminology, ADA coding, and insurance verification procedures.
Compliance: Deep commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment, and a "patient-first" attitude.
Job Description
Patient Coordination: Greet patients warmly, manage the check-in/check-out process, and optimize patient flow.
Scheduling: Efficiently manage appointments using systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Insurance & Billing: Perform insurance verification, process medical/dental claims, and handle billing through systems like EDS.
Records Management: Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with HIPAA standards (using platforms like Meditech or eClinicalWorks).
Communication: Handle a multi-line phone system with professional etiquette, addressing inquiries and directing calls.
Administrative Support: Review intake forms and treatment plans for accuracy, perform data entry, and maintain organized filing systems.
