Marketing Specialist

Spherion WI & Northern IL is hiring a Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. As our business continues to expand across Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, we're investing in our marketing team to better support our recruiting, sales, and employer brand. We're looking for a Marketing Specialist to lead the marketing initiatives that keep our business growing while building awareness of our brand throughout the region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, locally owned organization with more than 35 years of serving employers and job seekers. Working directly with our Director of Revenue Operations, you'll help bring marketing initiatives to life across social media, recruitment marketing, hiring events, digital campaigns, employer branding, public relations, sales collateral, and community partnerships. You'll play a key role in keeping marketing projects organized, moving forward, and delivering a consistent, professional brand experience. This is a great opportunity for someone with marketing, communications, event planning, or project coordination experience who enjoys variety, takes pride in staying organized, and likes seeing their work make an impact. As our company continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and grow alongside the business. No two weeks look exactly the same. One week you may be creating social media graphics, coordinating job postings, preparing for a hiring event, coordinating promotional items, and updating marketing materials. The next you could be supporting a customer event, creating presentations, organizing marketing assets, coordinating vendors, or helping launch a new campaign. We're looking for someone who enjoys both the creative and organizational sides of marketing. Success in this role comes from being proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and willing to jump in wherever needed. This is a full-time position based in our Madison, WI office. Because this is a highly collaborative role, team members are expected to work primarily from the office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per month. Occasional travel throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois may be required to support hiring events, customer events, community partnerships, and other marketing initiatives. What You'll Do Create graphics and marketing materials for social media, digital marketing campaigns, recruiting initiatives, hiring events, presentations, and sales collateral Lead the planning and execution of hiring events, trade shows, community events, and customer appreciation activities Schedule and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms Create presentations, flyers, one-pagers, brochures, and other marketing collateral Own email marketing campaigns, press releases, and company announcements Coordinate promotional items, printed materials, signage, apparel, and event supplies Lead the coordination and execution of job postings across multiple recruiting platforms, ensuring postings are accurate, compelling, and optimized to attract top talent. Coordinate marketing vendors and project timelines to ensure deadlines are met Contribute ideas that improve our marketing efforts, candidate and client experience, and overall brand What We're Looking For 1-3+ years of marketing, communications, event planning, project coordination, or related experience preferred Strong communication skills and an eye for creating polished, professional marketing materials Highly organized with the ability to keep multiple projects moving at once Exceptional attention to detail, you notice the small things that others miss Experience using Canva or similar design software Comfort learning new technology, software, and marketing platforms The ability to work independently, solve problems, and know when to ask questions A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish An interest in both the creative and operational sides of marketing Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 annually, based on experience.
