Software Developer IV - Java / AWS / Database Technologies

Location: Denver, CO (4 Days Per Week Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: Through December 2026

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to support the development of enterprise-scale applications utilizing modern Java technologies, cloud platforms, and database solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing backend systems and working within Agile software development environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications.
Build scalable backend services using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
Work with Oracle, MongoDB, and DynamoDB databases.
Develop and support event-driven solutions utilizing Kafka.
Leverage AWS cloud services to support application development and deployment.
Participate in architecture, design, and code review activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Create and maintain technical and operational documentation.
Support monitoring and troubleshooting activities using Splunk or similar tools.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of software development experience.
Strong experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot.
Experience with Oracle, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
Experience working with Kafka.
Strong AWS cloud experience.
Experience with Splunk or comparable monitoring tools.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Datalog.
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and practices.
Experience working in large enterprise environments.

Additional Information

Contract position through December 2026.
Hybrid work schedule requiring onsite presence four days per week in Denver, Colorado.
