In this newscast, you will be an integral part of covering the most significant financial news stories of the day. What you'll do:Developing and producing live and taped guest segmentsGenerating original content ideas daily, tapping into a broad array of sources Identifying and booking compelling guestsConducting pre-interviews of guests and arranging hitsWriting compelling copy and teases Securing elements such as sound bites and video to support segmentsHelp create, visualize and produce segments for the showBring new and creative ideas to the show for segments and franchises Developing and maintaining good relationships with news sources Assisting Line Producers in the production of the showQualificationsWhat you'll bring:At least 3-5 years of experience in a live television environment, with demonstrated writing, research and communication skillsExemplary editorial judgmentExperience in producing social mediaSuccessful candidates will be self-starters with superior contacts who can work effectively and creatively under daily deadline pressureExcellent interpersonal skills, combined with a strong sense of how to visually tell a compelling storyWillingness to accommodate a demanding production schedule and flexibility to work weekends and some holidays when and as required Desired Characteristics:Strong understanding of the markets and prior experience at a financial news networkAt CNBC Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, you’ll have access to great perks and amenities: Sweat it out -- Free onsite fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, plus daily group classes Eat up -- Gourmet cafeteria with daily specials plus soup and salad bars Extras -- Dry cleaning, shoe shining and sneak peeks  Don’t have a car?
