Biomedical Equipment Technician 1

GE HealthCare seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain medical equipment at healthcare facilities in the Wichita, Kansas area. The role involves onsite customer support, preventive maintenance, and documentation of service activities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate biomedical equipment issues, diagnose problems, and perform repairs under supervision
- Execute preventive maintenance and safety/environmental inspections on medical equipment
- Maintain daily customer communications to ensure resolution and strong satisfaction
- Document all repair actions and submit reports according to schedule
- Maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and safe medical equipment practices
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering field, or high school diploma with 2+ years equipment service experience
- Valid driver's license with ability to maintain it
- Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers
- Willingness to work rotating on-call schedule including weekends for critical issues
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs unassisted; frequent bending, climbing, and dexterity required
