Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized bedside care within a Level I trauma centers interventional cardiac catheterization lab. The position offers a dynamic environment for experienced professionals to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures for adult patients, supporting a busy five-room unit.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license; ACLS and BLS certifications; a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, including experience with diagnostic and interventional procedures such as adult left heart catheterizations, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, right heart catheterizations, and procedural sedation. Must be comfortable interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, monitoring procedural sedation, and utilizing Cerner charting system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred; experience with adult diagnostic catheterizations and monitoring.
• Additional Information: Candidate must have experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and be able to float within scope as needed. The role requires working 2-3 weekends per contract, with availability to work holidays with the expectation of working 2 of the 3 major holidays. RTO restrictions ideally limit time off to no more than 5 days. Orientation includes 36 hours, with a virtual orientation session on the first day.

• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; American Heart Association (AHA) certifications accepted. RQI cards are not accepted.
• Note: A current Illinois license must be active and in hand at time of submission. Floating within hospital or to nearby facilities may be required.
